Nubuck Leather Upper
Featuring a modernised luxurious Nubuck leather upper, the Cyrus 2 GORE-TEX is a versatile choice for light hiking, countryside strolls and travels abroad, delivering comfort and protection as you go. This supportive and durable upper allows you to feel stable with each step, perfect for all-day wear in various adventurous conditions. A relaxed and comfortable fit further enhances the all-day comfort of the Cyrus 2, ideal for everyday wear and casual hikes where comfort is key. The Nubuck is complete with thermo-embossed highlights for added style on the trail and has been paired with durable waterproofing. Utilising a GORE-TEX ePE/PFAS-free membrane, the Cyrus 2 supplies feet with waterproof protection when the weather takes a turn for the worse on your outdoor adventure. This high technical performance membrane prevents water from entering to keep your feet dry without compromising breathability. Revised ergonomic padding with enhanced soft touch comfort, the Cyrus 2 GORE-TEX offers a comfortable fit and feel in critical ankle and tongue zones. The traditional lacing system provides a locked-in fit that prevents in-shoe slippage.
EVA Midsole
An EVA platform resides underfoot to provide you with lightweight, responsive cushioning and improved comfort. Generous and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA midsole ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. Activ Impact Technology also resides in the midsole, which works to absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as a rebound, adding spring to your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain.
PRESA and Energy 3 Outsole
A PRESA sole, developed by Scarpa with SuperGum compound, completes the Cyrus 2 GORE-TEX. Made using the perfect blend of durability and grip for on and off-road adventures, the PRESA outsole provides great traction on multiple terrains for use on all your adventures. Teamed with Vibram's distinctive Energy 3 Sole, which provides a durable, cushioned layer, the Cyrus 2 offers incredible grip over a wide range of underfoot conditions. The outsole provides enhanced underfoot traction, more aggressive heel braking and a new self-cleaning lug pattern ensuring excellent grip. The multi-directional lugs provide the needed amount of grip, especially in wet conditions, providing a solid base to push off from. The rubber is abrasion-resistant, retaining its shape and definition despite its use on hard and rough surfaces. Lastly, a new bonded-strobel hybrid construction delivers added support and is now resoleable.
