The North Face Descendit Insulated Waterproof Hooded Jacket
The tried and tested Descendit is a classic ski/board shell jacket. It's completely waterproof, windproof and breathable thanks to the seam-sealed DryVent™ fabric technology. The overall look is pared back, but underneath this clean exterior, there are functions like a wrist pass pocket with goggle wipe, underarm vents, an adjustable helmet-compatible hood and a secure chest pocket.
The exceptional Descendit jacket has been designed to keep you warm and dry in challenging conditions. It combines durable DryVent fabrics with lightweight and compressible Heatseeker synthetic insulation to provide waterproof and windproof breathability. The waterproof, breathable, and seam-sealed DryVent 2L shell fabric features a non-PFC DWR finish, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable in rain and snow while blocking wind and reducing wind chill. The fabric's breathable nature also allows air to circulate, helping to regulate your temperature and keep you cool during activity. Complementing this, the Heatseeker synthetic insulation utilises durable hollow-core fibres to deliver exceptional warmth without unnecessary bulk, making it perfect for cold and snowy environments. This highly durable, compressible, and lightweight insulation won't hinder your performance on the slopes and can be easily packed away. For added protection, the jacket features an attached, adjustable, helmet-compatible hood with a riveted cord-lock adjustment system, allowing you to customise the fit. The full-length centre front zip assists in easy on and off, as well as enabling you to regulate ventilation. Underarm vents offer further temperature control, and the adjustable cuffs with hook-and-loop tabs ensure a secure fit. You can further customise the fit with the internal hem cinch-cord, featuring a two-point adjustment and cinch-cord ends that exit into the hand pockets. A snap-down powder skirt with gripper elastic effectively prevents snow from entering the jacket. Finally, the Descendit jacket offers ample secure storage for all your essentials with multiple pockets, including internal and external chest pockets, covered secure-zip hand pockets, a secure-zip wrist pocket with a goggle wipe, and a large internal mesh drop-in pocket.
