Durable Leather Upper

The Verto GORE-TEX Alpine has been constructed using a durable Leather Upper to add durability and stability, whilst protecting feet on hiking journeys. The leather has also been ethically sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-Certified tanneries, to build a more sustainable future with responsible leather. Keeping feet dry and comfortable during alpine adventures, the Verto Alpine utilise a GORE-TEX 3L bootie, which provides you with waterproof, breathable and windproof protection. This high-performing three-layer waterproof fabric is highly durable, working to keep feet, as well as shoes, highly protected. The boots ensure that feet don't overheat due to the breathable properties of the materials that surround your feet, supplying your feet with an excellent level of airflow. A moulded ankle support sits close to the foot for added comfort and support, while the synthetic mud guards work to prevent mud and dirt from getting on the boots. Allowing your toes to remain shielded from knocks and bumps on the approach, the boots have a protective toe cap. Finishing the upper, the boots have a combination of metal and ghillie-lace eyelets, alongside a lace-lock eyelet to provide you with customisable, comfortable support, keeping feet locked in and secure when traversing the outdoors.

EVA Midsole

Featuring a platform of EVA underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning, the Verto GORE-TEX Alpine Mid provide comfortable cushioning to spare your joints on tricky terrains. Generous, soft and durable and exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Paired with this is a rigid stability shank that ensures midfoot support, ideal for use on uneven terrain. As well as this, a lightweight SKYCORE rock guard helps to prevent injury, so you can walk with confidence knowing you've got added protection below the forefoot.

Vibram XS Trek Outsole

The North Face Verto GORE-TEX Alpine Mid are finished with a Vibram XS Trek outsole that delivers an optimal balance of traction and durability, providing long-lasting grip adventure after adventure. Designed to be responsive on unpredictable terrain, these boots will help you move with confidence and ensure stability and comfort all day long, reducing the risk of injury and helping you get the most out of your hike. 5mm multi-directional lugs dig into the ground to enhance traction, while the braking zone at the heel prevents the foot from slipping during steep ascents. Completing the outsole is a climbing zone that provides extra friction for precise foot placement, edging, and smearing on the ground.
