Ripstop Upper

Take to the trails with complete confidence in the North Face Fastpack. The upper is made with durable ripstop for enhanced protection as you take on the trail. Using their own multi-layer DryVent waterproof system, The North Face has created a shoe that is breathable and provides wind and waterproof protection. The membrane allows heat and vapour to escape while preventing rain, snow and moisture from entering the shoe, keeping feet dry from the inside out. The padded collar and tongue enhance comfort for all-day use, and when combined with the moulded heel chassis, lock your foot in place for a secure hold. A reinforced rubber toe cap provides added protection and support against trail debris, while the mudguard protects feet from dirt and debris entering the shoe. Making it easy for you to put the shoes on and take them off, heel-pull webbing has been included. A traditional lacing system completes the upper, which reduces in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.

A full-length ultralight DREAM Nitrogen-TPU midsole provides high energy return, reduced weight and increased longevity compared with standard EVA foams. It is soft, bouncy and responsive, helping you run further and faster using less energy. It attenuates shock as you strike hard compact trails, protecting your joints so you can see more of the great outdoors in comfort. The shoes have an underfoot platform and broad-base nets for stability so you can tackle uneven ground with ease.

SURFACE CTRL Outsole

For great grip and traction, the outsole is crafted from SURFACE CTRL rubber. It is optimised for weight and versatility and gives tenacious traction on uneven terrain, wet or dry. This means you can go fast and light without ever losing your footing. SURFACE CTRL is made with 20% rubber from smallholder farmers committed to agroforestry principles and regenerative agricultural practices, meaning you get great grip whilst being an eco-conscious consumer. The 5 mm high-traction lugs are designed for grip on harsh terrain; they bite into the ground beneath, allowing you to move with confidence.
