Zamberlan 1996 Vioz Lux Gore Tex Walking Boots

Stay protected no matter what the weather thanks to the GORE-TEX membrane offering breathable and durable protection from the elements.

Waxed Tuscan Full-Grain Leather Upper

The upper of the Zamberlan 1996 Vioz Lux GORE-TEX Walking Boots are constructed with the upgraded Waxed Tuscan full-grain leather which is rich and long-lasting. The leathers are enhanced with Zamberlan's proprietary Hydrobloc treatment for added water resistance and durability over time. Made with GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear, it ensures the shoes engineered with this are designed for outdoor use in moderate weather conditions. They combine durable waterproofness and optimised breathability, offering enduring waterproof protection and optimised climate comfort. Water stays on the outside while perspiration can easily escape from the inside. Thanks to their innovative construction they are an ideal solution for the widest range of outdoor activities and changing weather conditions. Designed with new calf-leather lined collars, it adds durability while ensuring maximum comfort around the upper ankle, reducing the risk of chafing and discomfort. Get the feel of a leather-lined boot without compromising on waterproof performance. For additional durability on the upper, high resistance treated hardware allows for an extended life without corrosion with added durability against rocks and debris, and easy passing of laces towards preventing breakage. The PU coated rubber toe rands also adds durability to the boot and life to the leather uppers, especially above the toe bump. The upper also ensures the wearer with maximum comfort and flexibility thanks to the ZFS (Zamberlan Flex System) which describes the unique multi-directional joint that offers great lateral support, comfort and freedom of movement of the ankle and overall stability. The boot upper flexes exactly trailing the natural foot and lower leg movement, giving lots of lateral support when traversing and on steep and rough terrain.

EVA Midsole

Made with an EVA midsole, it ensures the 1996 Vioz with long-lasting comfort all day, while the low-density PU midsole makes for a unique, unparalleled fit, with increased performance ensuring balance and control. Made with the ZBPK Performance Fit boot last which is Zamberlan's highly regarded backpacking last defining Zamberlan's fit. ZBPK features an excellent heel lock, an anatomical wrap over the top of the foot, and a roomy toe box for enhanced comfort.

Vibram 3D Outsole

The outsole is designed with wide lugs which can tear through any terrain while the pronounced rocker feels as if it is carrying you and your pack up the mountain. Excellent downhill braking is achieved with a steep heel undercut and superb torsional rigidity is achieved through a solid TPU plate over the arch. With big grooves on the outsole, it ensures reduced debris build up and self-cleaning action, while the large, deep lugs are specifically positioned for long-wearing traction and stability.

Zamberlan: Your Passion, Our Mission

For more than 40 years, Zamberlan has been distributing to worldwide markets and today more than 90% of its production is destined for export to 50 countries around the globe. The company was first founded by Giuseppe Zamberlan just after the World War One, from his deep passion and purpose towards his local mountain range, The Piccole Dolomiti, often known as the Small Dolomites. Giuseppe understood that the poor performance of the existing outsoles, made from leather and iron studs, was limiting mountaineers ability. Therefore, Giuseppe strove to support and develop the ideas of Vitale Bramani, the founder of Vibram Rubber. From this partnership, Zamberlan became the first ever brand to use an all over Vibram outsole, and it has been growing ever since. Today, it is the turn of the third generation of Zamberlan family to manage the Italian footwear company. Brother and sister Marco and Maria Zamberlan both have inherited the same love of the mountainside, and strive to enhance the range of outdoor products on offer. Impressively the company continues to handcraft it's traditional models in Italy, in the same factory opened up by Giuseppe nearly 90 years earlier. As a result, the company is recognised worldwide for it's comfort, fit and striking Italian design.
