The Most Challenging Downhill Strava Segment: Part 2

Written By: SportsShoes

2 months ago, our SportsShoes ambassador Ben Mounsey took on the most challenging downhill Strava segment in the UK...or so we thought!

You told us otherwise.

So, here we go again, ready to take downhill running and Strava segment chasing to the next level...

WARNING!

Ben is an expert trail runner. Please do not attempt this type of challenge unless you are experienced and confident on this type of extreme mountainous terrain.

Tryfan in North Wales stands at 917m above sea level and the segment "Tryfan Downhill Dash" descends 590m over 1.35km from the summit, with the previous record set in 2015 by Alex Bath in 10:12.

Ben's shoe weapon of choice is the HOKA Zinal 2 - super-fast, ultra-light and low-profile, so perfect for tackling tough trail terrain at lightning speed.
