Product Description

Asics Gel 1130 Running Shoes. The Gel 1130 features many technologies which usual users will already be familiar with from the ever popular 1120.
  • DuraSponge - A blown AHAR® rubber compound for enhanced cushioning and durability in the forefoot.
  • Gel - The ASICS GEL System is based on a special kind of silicone that enables optimal shock absorbtion. Gel Units are strategically placed in the midsole and designed to enable specific functions and positions.
  • Duomax - A proprietary ASICS® system consisting of two or more different density midsole materials, designed to help correct the degree and velocity of pronation.
  • spEVA - The SpEVA midsole material provides shock absorption. An improvement upon the ASICS traditional EVA system, balloon-like polymers quickly recover their shape to be ready to absorb the impact of each successive step.
  • Trusstic - A molded component which reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe.
  • Forefoot ASICS GEL cushioning system - The silicone-based, GEL cushioning system in the forefoot reduces the loading forces that would normally be applied as the foot moves into propulsion. This reuduces shear forces and along with flex grooves, enchances propulsion.
  • Rearfoot Asics Gel Cushioning System - When running around the tennis court the foot can typically experience forces of 3 to 5 times the player’s body weight during heel strike. The GEL cushioning system, in conjunction with the midsole material, absorbs these impact forces.
  • AHAR+ - ASICS High Abrasion Resistance rubber is a tough compound used at the heavy contact areas of the outsole. it helps to reduce excessive wear. AHAR+ is a lighter version of the general AHAR.
  • Flex Grooves - These are located in the forefoot and / or rearfoot for increased Flexibility and cushioning.
  • Asymmetrical Heel - A slightly angled and a-symmetric heel that offers smoother transition from impact to take-off. It also reduces the risk of overpronation.
  • This updated version now features a new, more breathable upper.
A serious running shoe for the runners who need a supportive shoe but don't want to spend the earth!

Suitable for: Moderate Overpronator

A bit more info on ... Support shoes for overpronators

  • You'll need a support shoe if you're a mild to moderate overpronator.
  • This means the arch will collapse through the gait cycle and the foot will roll inwards excessively.
  • 70% of all runners overpronate, so don' t worry if you are an overpronator - this is normal!
  • Support shoes are characterised by additional support features on the inside of the shoe.
