Breathable Mesh Upper
Updated from their predecessor the 2nd generation of Altra's Experience Wild features a newly improved breathable mesh upper. The mesh is even more breathable than before, providing feet with a cool, fresh wearing experience for comfort under pressure. Moisture-wicking properties prevent overheating and the build-up of sweat when the trail gets tough. This effectively removes sweat and moisture from the surface of your skin and disperses it through the fabric structure, therefore keeping your feet dry from start to finish. Shielding feet from damage during knocks and bumps when facing challenges on your trail run, Altra has enhanced the TPU overlays which also improves coverage and the overall durability of the shoes. You can easily attach a Trail Gaiter, using the integrated GaiterTrap which keeps your feet clean and protected from debris, thanks to the integrated GaiterTrap details. Altra's signature FootShape fit provides a roomy toe box. This means feet can move naturally, with confidence in every foot strike, and giving toes more space to rest comfortably, whilst the new lacing eyelet and lacing system improves the fit and secures the midfoot to prevent excessive movement.

This keeps things lightweight and comfortable and ensures long-lasting energy return so you're ready to tackle every hurdle and long trail adventure. The soft nature of the midsole keeps you bouncy underfoot, encourages efficiency and keeps strides effortless for confidence on tricky trails. The midsole will also reduce discomfort or injuries by absorbing shocks when striking down on tough surfaces. The rocker-shaped geometry provides forward propulsion to provide an efficient toe-off and smooth transitions whilst keeping strides natural and comfortable.
