The Exosphere -6 L Sleeping Bag is constructed from 30D Nylon Ripstop Fabric with PFC-free dirt and water repellent. A DWR treatment has been used to ensure water and dirt rolls off the surface, helping to keep the sleeping bag clean and dry. DryZone is used at the head and foot areas for extra water repellency where the sleeping bag is likely to touch the wet walls of the tent. This sleeping bag is ideal for camping, backpacking or trekking and is suitable for all seasons. The Exosphere -6 L has a comfort range of 0 degrees celsius, which is based on the lowest temperature at which a 'standard' woman (25 yrs / 60 kg / 160 cm) can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position. This range ensures a comfortable sleep, ideal for inexperienced users. The lower limit of the Exosphere is -6 degrees celsius. This is based on the lowest temperature at which a 'standard' adult male (25 yrs / 70 kg / 173 cm) can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position.
The 360 degree filling of the Exosphere means it heats up quickly since the sleeper has to warm up very little air. Elasticated chamber seams give a stretchy mummy shape that provides maximum freedom of movement, allowing the bag to stretch 25% more in width, eliminating the fear of freezing. The contour feature hood allows you to create the most snug fit, thanks to the easy to use drawcords. This works in combination with the insulating collar which fits snugly to the shoulders and neck and has a velcro fastening to prevent draughts. Increased room in the foot area takes into account the natural position of the foot when relaxed to ensure greater comfort and freedom of movement whilst you sleep, whilst extra layers of filling in this area provides extra warmth to the feet.
