Breathable Mesh Upper
The mesh upper encases each foot in superb breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing the hot, muggy air that resides in the uppers during heavy exertion. The mesh is constructed with microfibre reinforcements and an abrasion-resistant coating, working in harmony to enhance durability while out on tricky terrain. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane resides inside the shoe; it integrates with the mesh upper to supply a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling. GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you cool and comfy. A soft Comfort Collar construction reduces the risks of chafing and irritation so you can remain comfortable at all times. Lastly, the upper of the Ultra Raptor features an integrated lacing system that uses eye-stay webbings that are sewn on the inside of the upper and reinforced on the outside with a high frequency TPU skeleton, allowing the lace pull-force to be distributed equally over all areas of the upper without compromising overall comfort.
Memlex EVA Injected Midsole
The Memlex EVA injected midsole differs from standard compression-moulded EVA midsoles by providing better cushioning and better elasticity of the fabric. Despite being extremely lightweight, the midsole serves both protection and cushioning. The EVA is densely packed towards the bottom of the midsole, which will absorb all shocks and heavy impacts instantly and effectively. This will allow you to tackle volatile, uneven trails in complete confidence. As you travel further up the midsole, the EVA becomes softer, meaning that every step you will feel cushioned and comfortable. This will mean there will be less stress and impact placed on the heel and knees, which will guard against fatigue and help you push yourself further and faster than ever before. Energy from each stride you take will be returned as rebound, giving you an added spring in your step.
Frixion White Outsole
The outsole has been constructed using Frixion White, a versatile rubber compound that provides ultimate grip on a variety of surfaces. The durable rubber will form a strong grip, anchoring your feet to the ground. The rubber will guard against damage, as it is created from abrasion-resistant rubber. This will mean it protects itself from damage on rocky ground, improving the lifespan and functionality over the long term. An innovative Impact Braking System absorbs negative ground force, enhancing traction and grip downhill, helping you to run without any distractions or worries. Providing real advantages on uneven terrain are the outsole lugs, which dig deep into loose terrain and rocks, and the integrated anti-shock rubber toe which keeps you protected.
