AIRmesh Upper

Designed to keep you cool and comfortable at all times, the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 11 Running Shoes have been constructed using an AIRmesh upper that ensures constant airflow. This breathable AIRmesh upper allows the Wave Prophecy 11 to maintain a high standard of breathability and comfort, keeping you cooler and drier for longer, especially during tough runs. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the construction whilst, at the same time, allowing hot humid air to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The increase in airflow creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. Mizuno have used DynamotionFit in the upper of this road running shoe to enhance the fit for additional comfort throughout wear. This design blueprint developed by Mizuo is engineered to allow the shoes to work with your foot through the gait cycle. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that works to lock down the midfoot and provide a secure and customisable fit to reduce in-shoe slippage. This allows for a confident run with minimal distractions.

Infinity Wave Midsole

Mizuno's Wave technology is embedded into the midsole to provide flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from it is harnessed and transferred to the forefoot to push you off and guide you into your stride. The Infinity Wave features two parallel plates that sit together with soft cushioning pillars in between to provide unrivalled cushioning and improved durability by absorbing and dispersing the impact at foot strike. The midsole also has U4ic, a unique compound developed by Mizuno which will provide you with high comfort and performance. Providing you with a soft and cushioned landing on every step that you take. The compound is also extremely lightweight, which will help to keep the overall weight of the shoe down.

X10 Outsole

The midsole and outsole technologies work together with SmoothRide technology to provide a fluid transition. As the foot hits the ground, SmoothRide engineering kicks in with heel flex grooves promoting a natural back-to-front movement. The forefoot flex grooves and flex controllers then work together to continue the smooth forward motion resulting in an efficient fluid motion that allows runners to harness their power. The outsole is made with X10 which is the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high-impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. This helps to lessen the impact placed on the knees and joints, allowing for a more comfortable ride as well as optimising gait efficiency. The outsole also ensures maximum grip and traction for a firm, assured footing so you can run with confidence and push yourself to the limit, time and time again.
