Perforated Mesh Upper
Providing enhanced comfortability and comfort, the upper of the 1080v15 promotes in-shoe freshness for the entirety of your run. Perforations within the upper allow for air to circulate effectively around the foot, allowing for heat to escape out, reducing fatigue and make room for cooling freshness. The shoe has moulded contour details, providing an expressive look with visual depth that adds texture to the design. With a gusseted tongue and traditional lacing system, the midfoot is effectively locked into place to prevent in-shoe slipping when on the go for a confident fit. Finally, reflective details have been added to improve visibility in low light conditions to keep you covering ground well into dusk.
Infinion Midsole
Utilising the Infinion foam, New Balance have focused on providing high energy return and superb underfoot cushioning through every mile. The TPEE based foam has been designed for long-lasting performance, meaning you get more bang for your buck and more springy, protected miles under your belt. It won't 'flat out' as fast as other shoes, where the cushioning compresses over time, meaning more runs feel like your first run, and the shoe's life increases significantly. The cushioning provides responsive rebound, utilising the energy of your last step to push you into your next one for speedy steps and a snappy feel. The midsole also features a moderate forefoot rocker, helping to guide you through your gait for smooth heel-to-toe transitions.
Rubber Outsole
Providing grip and traction underfoot, the rubber outsole supplies adhesion for confident strides. It allows you to make those tight turns and corners with ease, helping the tarmac flow underfoot as you rack up the miles. The rubber is also durable, resisting damage over time for long-lasting use and enjoyment. This rubber has been strategically placed on the base of the shoe to ensure grip where it is needed, but also reduce weight by missing the midfoot section.
