Nike Juniper Trail 2 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes
The Juniper Trail 2 has waterproof GORE-TEX on the upper, sure-footed traction and a soft, cushiony midsole. It helps keep your toes toasty when the trails are splashy and sleety.
GORE-TEX Upper
The upper features GORE-TEX technology, delivering waterproof protection without sacrificing fit or feel. Its flexible, lightweight design keeps your foot dry when running through wet roads. Quick-drying properties help keep it fresh, so you're ready for your next workout. When temperatures rise, the well-ventilated upper ensures a constant cooling effect so you can power through any workout easily. A heathered foam collar helps keep your ankle warm while keeping extra debris and water from getting inside your shoe, flywire cables integrate with the laces for a secure feel, locking down the midfoot for greater stability and control.
Cushioned Full-Length Midsole
A full-length cushioning platform resides underfoot to deliver feathery durability plus smooth responsiveness. The reactive nature of this midsole material means it absorbs impact and then expels it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy-return technology reduces superfluous muscle power, diminishes fatigue and enhances performance, keeping you going longer. Soft, generous and substantial, the midsole will spare your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving concrete and infuse every stride with the kind of zealous power often elusive in the running world. Under the heel, there is extra cushioning to supply your stride with extra bounce; it combines pressurised air with internal fibres to deliver responsive cushioning that springs back fast, so you can move faster. Embedded within the midsole, a rock plate helps to protect your feet against rocks and stone bruises, letting you run confidently over awkward terrain.
Nike Grind Outsole
The outsole of the Juniper Trail 2 is made from ultra-durable rubber for maximum control. See the speckles on the outsole? That means it's made with at least 8% Nike Grind material, from scraps from the footwear manufacturing process. This means the shoe is good for your run and the planet. The rubber is hard-wearing and resists damage, whilst the tapered lugs provide great multi-directional traction, helping you run efficiently up and downhill and tackling rocky trails with no issue.
