The Cookies and Cream Duo Bar is a tasty nutritional bar based on the rice cake concept used for race food that professional sports nutritionists have developed. These delicious bars are a great alternative to a carb liquid or gel you may take when racing or training, but for those who prefer to take solid food on board for exercising. The bars are pre-cut into two equal pieces. The whole bar provides 40 grams of carbohydrates (20g per half) and 7g of protein, making it the ideal drink or gel alternative before, during or even after your exercise, to keep you energised and prepared to tackle every workout. The bars are so tempting that you might just decide to have them as a healthy snack when you're on the move.
It is important to remember that when exercising for 60 minutes or more, as well as staying hydrated, it is recommended that you supplement 40-90g of carbs per hour, or exercise to maintain blood glucose level. This will allow you to maintain, enjoy or improve how well you're exercising.
