Puma Velocity Nitro 3 Men's Running Shoes
The Velocity Nitro 3 continues as Puma's flagship running shoe, containing NITRO foam cushioning. It's the perfect place to start if you haven't run in Puma recently and want a do-it-all trainer.
Breathable Mesh Upper
The Velocity Nitro 3 features an upper crafted from a breathable mesh material, designed for optimal ventilation and comfort. The perforations allow cool air to circulate while allowing warm, humid air to escape. This creates a refreshing feeling as you move and promotes a drier, healthier environment for your feet. Furthermore, the upper ensures excellent durability, providing you with reliable footwear built to withstand regular use. Puma has incorporated PWRTAPE on the instep to deliver enhanced structure and support to the foot, minimising unwanted movement inside the shoe. Additionally, a TPU heel spoiler is included to help prevent the ankle from rolling inwards. The upper is finished with a traditional lacing system that provides a secure and locked-in feel during your runs.
NITRO Foam Midsole
The Velocity Nitro 3 boasts a NITRO foam midsole, a lightweight and springy material crafted from nitrogen-infused Peba. This innovative technology delivers exceptional energy return and responsiveness. Puma's nitrogen infusion process allows them to expand the midsole, resulting in a shoe that offers remarkable underfoot comfort. This expansion also maximises propulsion with every step, helping you to run further and faster more easily. As well as propelling you forward, the NITRO foam effectively absorbs shocks and the impact of striking hard surfaces. This cushioning helps to reduce stress on your joints and minimise the risk of injury.
PUMAGRIP Outsole
Finishing the shoes, Puma have used their PUMAGRIP rubber compound in the outsole construction, which combines superior traction with durability. Strategically placed, the rubber forms a solid connection with a wide range of surfaces, even when wet or dry, giving you the confidence to run whatever the weather. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base to push off from, allowing for a more efficient gait cycle.
