Salomon S/LAB Ultra V2 Men's Trail Running Shoes

Building on the technical prowess of its predecessor, the S/LAB Ultra V2 is an ultra trail running shoe developed with athlete Francois d'Haene. Matryx upper

Constructed using a high-performance textile, the Matryx upper has been designed to resist abrasion, making it perfect for mixed terrain training. With individually-coated high-tenacity Kevlar and technical yarn, the durable upper is lightweight and breathable to keep you cool, dry and comfortable as well as protected from rocks and roots on the trails. An internal sensiFIT, invisible from the outside, cradles the foot from the midfoot to the lacing system. This sensiFIT system provides a secure, snug and virtually customised fit all around the foot for a more stable ride and less in-shoe slippage for a secure feel. A Quicklace lacing system offers easy on/off with one-pull tightening. The lace is minimalistic for reduced bulk and strong for a secure fit. Additionally, it can be stored easily in the provided lace pocket to minimise the risk of distractions caused by movement or untying.

optiFOOAM Midsole

Built on a springy and comfortable midsole compound that delivers punch and pop while smoothing out your landings for a fluid ride, the S/LAB Ultra V2 provides lightweight and responsive cushioning. optiFOAM is a lightweight, springy and resilient foam compound that powers your stride forward. This lightweight foam delivers a maximum level of cushioning to ensure optimum in-shoe comfort and a responsive ride. Shock-absorbing properties prevent discomfort or injury by absorbing the impact caused by striking down on tough and changing surfaces. Thanks to its unique configuration of double-layered, ultra-soft optiFOAM, the S/LAB Ultra V2 provides optimal and stable ultra-distance cushioning when traversing tricky, changing trail conditions. Additionally, a Profeel Plate features in the S/LAB Ultra V2 to deliver flexible and adaptable ground absorption while maintaining dynamic energy return. Sandwiched in the midsole, the plate effectively filters out discomfort, delivering long-distance protection over challenging terrain.

All Terrain Contagrip Outsole

Ensuring stability and protection on the widest variety of trail surfaces, the outsole of the S/LAB Ultra V2 has been constructed using All Terrain Contagrip. All Terrain Contagrip is built for maximum grip on loose, soft, rugged, and uneven surfaces. Using the most durable compound, it has a lug pattern that works equally well on both hard and smooth, or soft and loose surfaces for premium traction and a solid bond between you and the ground. Built for the widest variety of surfaces, it ensures complete confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces whilst still offering long-term durability so you can go further for longer in your footwear, no matter where your run takes you. A re-invented lug formation utilises 0.5mm added depth to enhance the braking system and traction of the outsole, so that this shoe can excel in all conditions, no matter how technical.
