Engineered Mesh Upper

Providing exceptional breathability with a comfortable fit, the Endorphin Speed 5s are perfect for fresh feeling daily runs. The mesh has been designed to maximise airflow, featuring dozens of ventilation holes, which assists in releasing warm air and replacing with fresh, cool air as the foot flexes. The upper also features a padded gusseted tongue, which assist in keeping the structure of the shoe centred - in turn keeping you stable in your footing. This works in collaboration with the traditional lacing system to lock down the midfoot for a snug fit, with reinforced eyelets for a durable finish. An extended heel collar has been added to make the shoe easier to pull on. To complete the upper, Saucony have included reflective detailing on the Speed 5 to ensure your visibility in low light conditions.

PWRRUN PB Foam Midsole

Saucony's ultralight and springy PWRRUN PB foam has been used for the Endorphin Speed 5 midsole. The foam provides plush cushioning and energy beneath the foot due to it now being 50% lighter than traditional EVA foams. It's engineered with foam beads making it even more responsive and cushioned at speed. Added to it being fantastically light weight and performing consistently in all temperatures. The foam expertly absorbs impact as you strike down on hard surfaces, before releasing the building energy as you follow through into the next stride, providing great energy return. Sandwiched between the foam, sits a nylon plate that assists in overall performance. The nylon plate assists in creating a fluid, momentum-driven ride that excels at fast paces, while providing stability underfoot and maintaining high levels of flexibility underfoot. On top of the midsole sits a Super Responsive Sock liner (SRS) insole which adds extra cushioning and responsiveness for a more dynamic and comfortable feel.

XT 900 Outsole

This reconfigured, hardwearing foam offers exceptional traction and durability than seen before, to keep you running with confidence. The rubber is able to make strong contact with a variety of surfaces, including dry pavements and rain-slicked roads. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base for you to push off from, making your gait cycle more efficient. The grip on the heel now provides better coverage over the base of the shoe for added longevity to the outsole, especially for heel strikers. Also featuring full length longitudinal grooves within the outsole to allow the natural flex of the foot to enhance performance.
