Ripstop Upper with GORE-TEX Membrane
The upper of the adidas Terrex Freehiker SL has been constructed using a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane to keep your feet dry and protected as you take on the trail. GORE-TEX works tirelessly to shed water, whilst retaining breathable properties to improve comfort and airflow. GORE-TEX uses a thin membrane with microscopic pores that are large enough for water vapour (sweat) to escape but too small for liquid water droplets to pass through, keeping feet dry inside and out. The shoe's outer material is made from a lightweight ripstop textile that encases each foot in breathable comfort. This increases ventilation, eradicating the build-up of sweat, which is unavoidable during exercise. Sweat and moisture are wicked away from the feet, leaving you feeling fresh and ready to clock up the miles in extreme comfort. Increasing protection from bumps and knocks, adidas has included abrasion-resistant overlays.
