Go from adapting to accelerating and move your mind with the Metafuji Trail 2 shoes. Designed to help provide advanced energy savings and cushioning properties to help you race the trail with less effort.
Tackle trails in complete comfort. The Metafuji Trail 2 utilises a lightweight, woven upper that reduces the need for additional overlays. Strategic perforations and quick-drying properties provide your feet with ample ventilation where it's most needed, for a fresh in-shoe experience, whilst keeping them dry from sweat and moisture during tough periods. Soft against your skin, the reduced seams stop irritation or chafing when powering through twists and turns on the trails, therefore keeping you focused on what's important. A streamlined ankle collar is stretchy for a slip-on fit and works with the speed laces to get the perfect, secure fit, reducing in-shoe slipping and locking down the midfoot. The laces can be easily stored in the lace pocket to stop distractions when you're on the move.
Built for ultrarunners who want to push their speed, the Metafuji Trail 2 utilises a combination of FF Leap and FF Blast Plus for optimum comfort on the trail. The FF Leap cushioning is ASICS' lightest midsole foam, designed to deliver powerful energy return and optimum forward propulsion. It has an incredibly lightweight feel to support race-day speed when you're competing and training. Working with this is FF Blast Plus, which provides you with a blend of cloud-like cushioning and a responsive feel that is lighter than your average FF Blast cushioning. This combination of foams is super light in weight, allowing effortless strides and impact-absorbing comfort to keep strides responsive and soft. Sandwiched between the dual-layer of plush cushioning, the X-shaped full-length carbon plate has a unique geometry and positioning which has been specifically tailored towards those tackling uneven trails with speed. The trail carbon plate will help to improve your stability when traversing tricky trails and add snappy underfoot responsiveness to keep you fast and light.
Using ASICS' proprietary outsole, the trail running shoes utilise an ASICSGRIP outsole for optimum grip and traction on various surfaces. Keeping you secure with the ground on trail adventures, the outsole has an extremely durable compound to keep you focused on what's ahead, thanks to its long-lasting reliability. The rubber also helps to prevent excessive movement, no matter the terrain or conditions.
