Crafted with 210D ripstop nylon, the Dragonfly pack from BLUE ICE is highly durable against scrapes and bumps in Alpine conditions while being super lightweight for comfortable carrying. The material features a carbonate-based coating that enhances its abrasion resistance while effectively repelling weather elements, ensuring long-term durability. Within a dedicated sleeve, an Atilon sheet has been implemented into the design, working as a semi-rigid component within the back system to provide structural support and better load distribution for protection. The mesh-based carry system enhances breathability while offering further back and shoulder support with a combination of ultra-static open mesh and spacer mesh to improve airflow around the body for boosted freshness. Along the high shoulder points, engineered foam bridges have been added to the bag to prevent the straps collapsing and causing deformation. A sternum strap and waist belt collaborate to centralise weight when traversing uneven and steep terrain; the waist belt can be completely removed to shed weight when not needed. For simple and easily accessible packing, the main compartment opens with a drawstring and is then secured with a strap that clips over the top. This strap is versatile in use and can also hold a rope system or helmet. On either side of the backpack, asymmetrical mesh pockets have been added for extra storage, opening at an angle to be used when the bag is on your back, while a rear zip pocket holds small essentials with a built-in key clip. Finally, dual ice axe carry straps can be found on the front, with laminated pick tunnels for enhanced security.
