Breathable Upper

Providing you with a flexible construction and reducing the weight of the shoes, the Cloudhorizon 2 utilises a soft, flexible and breathable upper. This comfortable, cosy material keeps feet feeling fresh for whatever you choose to tackle next, and utilising a flexible structure allows your feet to bend and flex more naturally. Perforations within the upper allow for air to circulate effectively around the foot, helping heat to escape and in turn allowing cool freshness to enter, reducing fatigue and boosting motivation to push onwards. On have utilised a hike-specific toe-guard, meaning toes are effectively protected while able to relax, promoting hike focused fit for better comfort over longer distances. Other durable overlays have also been added, preventing injury from possible snags and bumps on unpredictable paths. Stable sidewalls have been utilised in the construction of the shoe to better improve the fit among different foot shapes as the shoe effectively moulds to the shape of your foot for better lockdown when wearing. This is complimented by the traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot as you lace up for a distraction-free hike.

Helion and CloudTec Phase Midsole

Utilising On's Helion Superfoam, the midsole of the Cloudhorizon 2 keeps you swaddled in a plush comfort underfoot. Ensuring outstanding energy return, experience propulsive boosts to every step while your feet stay feeling soft and fresh, provide you with a soft landing on trails. Working alongside this is On's CloudTec Phase technology, the compound has shock-absorbing properties, dissipating direct impact and protecting your joints and feet from injury. CloudTec's unique construction works by collapsing the cushioning when stepping down, expanding the foam in a forward rolling motion and propelling heel strikers forward. The Cloudhorizon also utilises a rocker-shaped geometry to enhance forward propulsion.

Missiongrip Outsole

Working to provide superior grip and traction on constantly changing terrain, the outsole features On's Missiongrip rubber. This durable compound provides you with the traction you need on those long adventures and ensures outstanding durability on both wet and dry surfaces, allowing you to enjoy every adventure. The outsole also has a newly updated lug pattern to provide you with outstanding support and stability, keeping you sure-footed when traversing uneven ground. Finally, a closed outsole is an update from previous On Running shoes, to stop stones from entering underfoot, further keeping things as lightweight as possible.
