GORE-TEX Upper
Providing you with full waterproof protection, excellent breathability and outstanding comfort for long hiking adventures, the X Ultra 360 Edge features a technical GORE-TEX membrane. This provides you with shielding from constantly changing trail conditions and enhances in-shoe breathability to keep you cool, dry and focused during every stage of your hike. The materials have moisture-wicking properties to prevent sweat and moisture build-up, and feet remain dry and cosy when wearing. Perforations in the fabrics allow a constant supply of air to flow freely through the construction, removing discomfort and keeping you cool on the move. To ensure a secure, locked-in fit, the shoes utilise Salomon's Sensifit construction, which cradles the foot comfortably. A rubber toe cap shields feet from knocks and bumps on the trail, reducing the risk of injury when traversing tricky trails. Finally, the shoes utilise a Quicklace construction to lock down the midfoot easily and get the perfect fit.
EnergyCell Midsole
Utilising Salomon's high-performance compound through the midsole, the X Ultra 360 Edge utilises EnergyCell foam, which absorbs shocks and provides comfortable landings for those tough and changing trail conditions. The soft, responsive cushioning provides an added spring to your step, offering constant hiking comfort and shock-absorbing properties that reduce the risk of injury or discomfort. An Ortholite sockliner also adds extra levels of comfort to protect your feet when striking down on harsh and unforgiving surfaces. This also features moisture-wicking properties to ensure your feet remain dry and cosy on your next adventure.
The shoes feature an upper with 49% recycled materials and a midsole that contains 8% recycled electrical cables for a more sustainable choice of footwear.
All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole
For outstanding grip and traction across a variety of surfaces, the shoes utilise an All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole. This durable compound grips the surface below, whether it's wet and slippery or rocky terrain, the outsole will keep you stable and provide optimal control underfoot. Deep lugs adorn the outsole, providing optimum grip and traction, anchoring you in place. This will also encourage a comfortable push-off and a solid landing base, so you can feel confident in your strides.
