Single Mesh TPEE and Stretch Nylon Upper

Suiting proficient runners seeking a lightweight trail companion, the Alien Ultra is an ideal addition. Constructed from a single mesh TPEE upper, the shoes keep feet well-contained and comfortable on long trail days. The single mesh features perforations through the fabric, keeping feet cool and fresh under pressure by allowing constant air to flow freely through the structure. Stretch nylon inserts add some flexibility to the upper and wrap comfortably around your foot to keep it well contained in the shoes. With second-skin precision, the upper moves as you move and allows a precise, supportive fit and a natural design to ensure distraction-free wear. A non-dyed microfibre stretch textile lining adds next-to-skin comfort and an additional layer of protection for focused runs. Moisture-wicking properties stop the build-up of sweat or moisture from ruining your journey and keep feet dry when you're under pressure. Traditional laces work to lock down the midfoot, prevent excessive movement when running and work with the integrated gaiter to stop rocks and sand from entering the shoe.

TECH-AR/02 Midsole

Soft, plush cushioning keeps you prepared for every tricky trail and challenging adventure. Using Scarpa's TECH-AR/02 midsole construction, a sandwich midsole made from 100% Supercritical Foam A-TPU, the cushioning is super lightweight and responsive. With super-soft sensations, the compound absorbs impact when taking strides across changing conditions, in turn reducing the risk of discomfort or injury on long trail missions and across uncomfortable surfaces. Adding responsiveness underfoot, the sandwich midsole ensures bouncy runs to push you forward, with long-lasting durability that you can rely on from the first mile to the last. Flow Arch geometry provides continuous heel-to-toe geometry, guiding every step for optimised stability and fast toe-offs without added weight. Carefully sandwiched between the plush foam is a unique "Squid Plate" insert, created from Pebax Nylon with 30% carbon fibre. The insert reduces weight, whilst boosting stability and elasticity through planar geometries and adjustable concavities that balance mechanical resistance.

Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Delivering you reliable and smooth traction on all terrain, the Alien Ultra utilises a Vibram Megagrip outsole to keep you supported. Digging deep on tough trail conditions, the outsole is super grippy and uses 3.5mm lugs to ensure optimal traction on varied terrain. Allowing you to power through, the outsole is super durable for long-lasting reliability and optimum control across difficult conditions, with no superfluous elements.
