The North Face Summit Nuptse Women's Down Jacket
Respected for generations, the Nuptse has always been a reliable outer layer for city adventures. But this season, North Face have turned it up a notch, heading back to their mountaineering roots.
Ensuring warmth in dropping temperatures, the Summit Nuptse down jacket contains 800 Fill Power (FP) ProDown. The down offers heat at a lighter weight and is highly water repellent, absorbing less water and drying quicker than traditional down. The North Face has used its Cloud Down technology within this jacket to reduce cold spots and enhance thermal performance through the discontinuous baffle construction. This construction is made by welding the outer and inner materials together, meaning no breaks in the fabric, which prevents cold spots. For further water protection, the jacket has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish added, effectively blocking rain and poor weather from entering time and time again. To further shield you from poor weather, a climbing helmet-compatible hood has been added that can be fully adjusted for a streamlined fit or snugly stowed away in a pouch located on the collar when no longer needed. The centre-zip allows you to release built-up heat quickly by undoing the zip with ease; with a two-way zip function, the jacket is harness compatible for easy access, while the hem is adjustable with internal cinch cords to entrap heat effectively. The cords have riveted cord locks to prevent a slip-in fit. On the cuffs of the jacket, stretch knit material with FlashDry technology has been utilised for dry and comfortable wear through wet conditions. Finally, two internal mesh drop-in pockets have been added for quick and easy storage, alongside two external hand zip pockets, allowing you to store essentials while on the move.
Sustainability - Main Body, Lining and Sleeves: 100% recycled Nylon - Yoke, Collar and Hood: 87% recycled Nylon.
