Designed to seamlessly transition from town to trail, the Transport Hike GORE-TEX delivers an adaptable hiker chock-full of performance features. Nimble on the trails with a low-profile silhouette, this versatile chukka repels rain with an internal GORE-TEX bootie and durable, water-resistant finish. Geared for day hikes with a Vibram Megagrip outsole, Hoka have employed speed lace hooks and reflective hits for enhanced visibility after dark.
GORE-TEX Upper
Providing great protection against rain and poor weather conditions, the GORE-TEX Upper on the Transport Hiking shoe ensures comfort is maximised for prolonged periods as warmth and dryness is promoted. The 71% recycled polyester face fabric provides protections and in-shoe comfort without sacrificing the planet, with durable toe and heel cap further protecting your feet from possible bumps and snags along the way. On the back of the heel is a heel pull tab for better assistance whilst getting ready to face the walk ahead, accessibility has been further focused with speed lace hooks and a traditional lacing system, for quick and secure lacing up. To complete the upper, Hoka have included 360 degree reflective detailing for better visibility in low light conditions, meaning you can keep moving forward as the sun sets.
EVA Midsole
Utilising a 30% Sugarcane EVA foam, Hoka have focused on ensuring cushioning along unpredictable trails and protection to your feet and joints along the way. The underfoot cushioning assist in soaking up shock upon impact, relieving you of possible injury. The midsole also features a heel-focused Active Foot Frame, it cups the heel to keep it in place, providing a secure fit that is supportive and comfortable. This is combined with Smooth Metarocker technology, which works to assist the gait cycle, propelling you from your last step into your next one. This makes for smoother transitions and again saves energy for longer days on your feet. Atop this is a moulded 50% soybean oil sockliner, it provides step-in comfort and plushness.
Vibram Megagrip Rubber Outsole
The outsole is constructed from a single piece of Vibram Megagrip rubber that provides reliable grip and traction underfoot - across the entirety of the shoe. Helping you form a solid bond with the ground below, increasing confidence in every stride. Working in combination with the Megagrip rubber are Traction Lugs. These 4mm multi-directional lugs bite into the earth, helping you to stay firmly planted in wet conditions.
