The Patagonia R1 Pullover Hoodie has been created using the light and breathable Polartec Power Grid fleece fabric with HeiQ Pure odour control. This is hybridised with Patagonia's Capilene Thermal Weight baselayer fabric to reduce bulk and make this lightweight layer even lighter. The Polartec Fleece creates mechanical wicking, where moisture is drawn away from the skin's surface to keep things dry, cool and comfortable. As this pulls moisture away from your body, the grid fleece feels warmer, enabling the garment to dry quicker. The added HeiQ odour control prevents the growth of odour-causing microbes, ensuring the hoodie feels and smells fresh for longer. The pullover design of the R1 Hoodie features a half-zip, which assists in easy on and off whilst regulating ventilation, and has also been designed with a longer torso length, ensuring it stays tucked in under a harness or pack waistbelt without riding up and causing discomfort. The hood is snug-fitting with a low-profile that sits comfortably under a helmet strap for protection and comfort in chilly weather. Further enhancing the hoodie's comfort, Patagonia have used off-shoulder seams that sit comfortably under pack straps, without having to readjust regularly. The chest pocket is big enough to store your essential items, whilst the on-seam thumbholes keep the sleeves in place and prevent rising.
