Engineered Mesh Upper

Providing your feet with a supportive and comfortable foothold, the upper of the GT-2000 12 have been constructed using an engineered mesh fabrication. These materials ensure that your feet remain breathable and comfortable, by allowing fresh, cool air to travel through the shoes, therefore ensuring feet feel fresh from start to finish. The mesh upper also works to support the foot as you move to ensure you always feel locked in and comfortable. The reduction in seams reduces the risks of chafing and irritation so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. An Ortholite X-30 sockliner provides soft step-in comfort. The upper has a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides. Completing the upper, the GT-2000 12 features reflective details to enhance your visibility when training in low-light conditions.

FlyteFoam Blast Plus Midsole

The GT-2000 has been engineered using a FlyteFoam Blast Plus midsole which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. These layers of protection, bounce and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run so that you can train harder, more frequently and for longer without the worry, that your shoes might not be able to take it. The midsole of the ASICS GT-2000 also contains rearfoot PureGEL technology, which absorbs the impact of each foot strike and provides a smoother transition as your foot rolls. This conserves energy and provides soft, bouncy cushioning. Completing the midsole is a 3D Guidance System which helps provide advanced stability for a smoother stride.

AHAR+ Outsole

To supply you with durable underfoot traction, the shoes have an AHARPLUS heel plug and ASICS LITE rubber compound. The AHAR+ compounds will help to improve the durability of the shoes, whilst also ensuring you have a grip on a variety of surfaces. The rubber is lightweight and stronger than standard outsole rubber, due to the bio-based cellulose nanofibre. AHAR LO-HRD also resides in the outsole to help improve the resistance against wear while flex grooves provide added traction and allow for natural foot flexion providing an easy, unhindered pace.
