Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper of the Gel-Pulse 17 is crafted from an engineered mesh to deliver superior comfort and breathability. The mesh allows cool, refreshing air to circulate, while simultaneously removing unwanted warm air to help regulate temperature and create a microclimate that supports healthy foot growth. A padded tongue and collar have been utilised, ensuring comfort for your foot and ankle while on the move. While a heel tab has been added to make slipping into the shoes easier for all, helping you get up and out quicker. To complete the upper is the traditional lacing system, this effectively locks down the midfoot for minimal in-shoe slippage.
FF BLAST Midsole
The Gel-Pulse has been engineered using an FF Blast midsole, which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. These layers of protection, bounce, and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run so that you can train harder, more frequently, and for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. The midsole also contains rearfoot GEL technology, which absorbs the impact of each foot strike and provides a smoother transition as your foot rolls. This conserves energy and provides soft, bouncy cushioning.
AHAR Outsole
Crafted out of Asics super sticky rubber, the outsole of the Gel-Pulse 17 consists of both AHAR and AHARPLUS rubber. The AHAR rubber can be found along the main sections of the sole, allowing you to carry on with confidence in every stride. This rubber grips over a variety of surfaces, including dry pavements and rain-slicked roads, helping you reach your goals. Highly abrasive AHARPLUS Heel Plugs have been added to both heel areas, providing great durability for runners, especially heel strikers.
