It also works to block out cold winds so you can remain toasty and warm when the temperature drops. The construction allows for a high level of breathability which works to increase airflow so you'll never feel an uncomfortable heat build-up. By allowing cool air to flow into the garment the ventilated fabric creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. Working with Pertex Quantum is Hydrodown insulation which works to provide a perfect balance between warmth and weight. Hydrodown insulation traps body heat within its fibres and prevents them from escaping so you can retain body heat when temperatures drop. This insulation is also fast drying and water-resistant so not only will it work to keep you dry but it will also keep you light. Nikwax has also been used on the jacket to keep you insulated even in wet conditions.
