Backpack Construction

The Deuter Aircontact Lite SL 45 - 10 SL Backpack has been constructed with an anatomically profiled X-frame, the crossed aluminium is stable and flexible, designed to follow the body's movements for ease of movement whilst transferring weight on the hips. For easy adjustment to any back length, the VariQuick system offers a bigger contract surface making the backpack even more compact and comfortable to carry. The VariQuick system and a height-adjustable lid allow the pack to be adjusted to your specific needs for even weight distribution and increased comfort. Engineered to make heavier loads feel lightweight to carry, the Aircontact Lite 45 boasts Deuter's Aircontact system. Designed to perfectly adapt to the wearer's back the backpack holds the load close to the body's centre of gravity for increased stability and even weight distribution. The two Aircontact cushioned pads are breathable allowing uncomfortable heat build-up trapped between the body and the bag to escape. The cushioned pads further create a ventilating hollow chamber that with every movement, creates a pump effect that circulates cool air resulting in 15% less perspiration. The Bag has been created in a shorter length, specifically designed for the female anatomy, providing a more personalised and comfortable feel for the wearer.

The stabilising shoulder straps adapt to the wearer's shoulder width and angle for increased comfort and even weight distribution. Additionally, load adjustment straps on the shoulder allow quick and easy adjustment for the optimal position of the backpack. The "Triglide" buckle allows the straps to be easily positioned, with two different fixing points (depending on the back length setting) to optimise the load adjustor strap angle.

New, complex pivoting Variflex hip fins ensure the optimum fit that follows complex movements that are essential when carrying heavy loads ensuring stability when navigating tricky terrain. The hip fins are made of multiple layers of soft and firm foam with additional reinforcement. The fins evenly distribute the load and avoid pressure points with additional padding for increased comfort. A pull-forward function allows for quick and easy adjustment and fasting even when carrying heavy loads.

Backpack Material

A double-layer bottom panel increases the durability of the backpack against snags and abrasions. Construction using a polyester thread and a thick PU coating the backpack is robust with waterproof protection whilst remaining lightweight. Additionally, a thin, rip-stop yarn fabric keeps the backpack lightweight and robust.

Backpack Features

Side compression straps help to compress the volume of the backpack bringing them closer to your core muscles of even weight distribution. A bottom compartment with a removable separator is ideal for quick gear access and allows you to customise load distribution. A wet laundry compartment keeps wet clothes separate from essential dry clothes. A multitude of pockets provides plenty of storage space. A spacious zipped pocket on the hip belt offers storage space for large items such as cameras or valuables. An internal valuables pocket keeps phones, wallets and keys safe. A lid pocket and large elastic side pockets offer additional storage space. Lid attachment straps offer additional volume through an extendable lid for more storage space between the pack and lid. Loops offer attachments for ice axes, hiking poles, and foldable poles as well as allowing a helmet holder to be attached. An SOS label provides important tips in case of an emergency. The backpack is compatible with a hydration system of 3.0 L.
