Air-Mesh Upper
Utilising a single piece of air-mesh material, the TrailFly Max is highly breathable, lightweight and comfortable. Thick MET-CRADLE strips feature over the top of the air-mesh, connecting the midfoot to the heel for a locked-in and secure feel when tightening the laces. The traditional lacing system is easily customisable, securing the foot to prevent in-shoe slippage over changing terrains. The natural, foot-shaped design of the shoe, combined with the upper's MET-CRADLE overlays, works to lock in at the heel and midfoot for confidence-boosting hold. The shape then widens at the toes, allowing them to spread, perform naturally, and increase that feeling of underfoot control, even on technical trails.
A new shape, featuring on all new Inov8 footwear, has been designed to hug the natural contours of your foot, locking in at the heel and widening at the toes. This new design brings more comfort, greater confidence and unhindered performance. Incorporated within this new shape are two new fits; Standard Fit for a closer feel and extra nimbleness over tricky terrain and Wide for a relaxed feel and extra comfort over longer distances.
FLYSPEED Pro Midsole
Fly over the ground with the new supercritical, nitrogen-infused EVA foam, FLYSPEED Pro. This new foam midsole is Inov8's highest performing to date. It's super-lightweight, while giving both greater comfort and superior energy return. Featuring 24mm of it in the heel and 18mm in the forefoot, the midsole of the TrailFly Max is hardwearing and provides a great balance between cushioning, ground-feel and stability on uneven trails, making it ideal for when you need sustained comfort and support when ticking off big miles. Combined with this, a 6mm deep, energy-popping BOOMERANG footbed gives a bouncy feel that retains stability underfoot and plenty of agile ground feel. The insole features hundreds of foam beads that compress and spring back for 40% energy return during your stride to help you preserve your energy, perfect for long runs where maximising every bit of energy counts.
GRAPHENE-GRIP Rubber Outsole
Featuring a GRAPHENE-GRIP rubber outsole with 4mm studs, the TrailFly Max has been improved to give extra grip in wet conditions. This hard-wearing, tacky rubber infused with the world's strongest material (Graphene) covers the outsole, while the 4mm long multi-directional lugs cut through loose trail and remain super-durable. Carefully positioned, the lugs improve grip in multiple directions, shed debris quickly for effective traction and boost propulsion off your toes whilst also helping you to brake at the heel. Underfoot flex grooves further enhance the agile, natural feel.
