La Sportiva VK Trail Running Shoes

The VK Trail running shoe has been created especially for the Vertical Kilometer developed in collaboration with record-man Urban Zemmer.

Sock-Like Technology Upper

The uppers are super snug fitting and feature the exclusive sock-like technology that allows the shoes to obtain a single piece of knitted fabric with differentiated stretch panels. This technology allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. Furthermore, the upper construction features thermo adhesive stretch zones and stabilisers that eliminate seams and irritation as well as fitting like a sock. This construction allows the upper to remain breathable, comfortable and extremely lightweight without sacrificing structural integrity.

In addition, the asymmetrical Ghost-Stream Lace System is a structural part of the upper as it provides a 360-Degree snug fit and closes at the sides with concealed laces. This feature allows you to get the perfect, locked-in fit which in turn eliminates in shoe slipping. A protective rubber toe cap provides exceptional protection from trail hazards such as rocks and roots while Lastly, a rear spoiler in antiskid microfiber facilitates and speeds up wearing and taking off the shoes.

Compression Moulded EVA

The Midsole compound of the VK Trail Running Shoes is constructed from a Compression moulded EVA which provides superb durability and reactivity on varied ground where the need for shock absorption is reduced. These features assist also the propulsion phase of the gait cycle, making these shoes ideal for use on offroad trails.

FriXion Outsole

The VK Trail Running Shoes feature a super lightweight rubber outsole that is only present in the forefoot area of the shoes with rock-guard to enhance traction throughout the uphill climb. An abrasion resistant, compression EVA wedge at the rear is designed for maximum lightweight and enhances the vertical boost during vertical races. These technologies combined together allow you to stay confident and composed as you start the incline.

The Outsole is comprised of FriXion white technology that is super sticky, leaves no trace and is a long-lasting compound. Ideal for high-performance trail running shoes the FriXion white sole is super grippy and has been designed to reduce weight to a minimum and guarantee performance while helping to save energy.
