Crafted from lightweight and durable nylon fabric, these pants have GORE-TEX Pro incorporated with a PFC-free ePE membrane for waterproof, windproof, breathable and abrasion-resistant performance. The GORE-TEX Pro membrane has billions of pores per square inch that are smaller than a water droplet, preventing liquid water from passing through, but larger than a water vapour molecule, allowing sweat to pass through, keeping you dry inside and out. Adding to the weather protection, Mammut has treated the pants with a PFC-free Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating, preventing water and moisture from penetrating the fabric, keeping you dry when the weather turns. For a comfortable wearing experience, a climbing-specific pattern is used, offering an articulated fit and freedom of movement, while a tapered, narrow fit at the lower leg and hem for less bulk. The pants include a high-waistband at the back for comfort and protection, a low-profile waist adjustment with daisy chain webbing and a metal hook for optimal fit and reduced bulk under the harness. Keeping you cool on your adventures, the pants have 2-way, 3/4-length water-repellent YKK AquaGuard side ventilation zippers with an internal storm flap, allowing cool air to flow into the pants while releasing built-up heat. There is a climbing harness-compatible thigh pocket with a water-repellent YKK VISLON AquaGuard zipper, volume pleat and inner gear loop perfect for storing your essentials. The lower leg includes Dyneema-reinforced hems and crampon protection for high-abrasion and puncture resistance, while strategically placed top stitches increase tear strength at critical seams, improving the pants' durability. Adjustable hems with inner drawstrings featuring a lace hook and eyelets provide a secure fit over boots. The hem is also shorter at the front for a seamless fit with mountaineering boots. Completing the pants is a RECCO reflector for improved searchability in emergencies.
