Waterproof Suede Leather Upper

Protecting feet from the constantly changing weather conditions, and keeping them fresh and comfortable even during the more intense adventures, the Moab Speed 2 Thermo utilises a waterproof leather material through the upper. This construction is waterproof to prevent water and rain from getting feet wet; however, the moulded leather combined with a nylon ripstop material is highly durable to protect feet from knocks and bumps on the trail. A waterproof membrane further enhances protection, seals out water and lets moisture escape so you always remain dry and comfortable. The boots have been designed to tackle the cold and snowy conditions, which is why 200 grams of Primaloft Gold Eco insulation works alongside Solarcore insulation. This combination of materials enhances warmth and comfort inside the boots by trapping heat, providing exceptional cosiness in cold weather. Protective and abrasion-resistant coated leather heel and toe cap protect against rocks and uneven surfaces. A bellows tongue keeps out debris, and heel pull tabs provide an easy on-and-off construction. A traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement for a secure fit, and lastly, the boots feature Gaiter D-Ring attachment points, which enable you to attach a gaiter to further prevent mud, snow and debris from entering.

FloatPro Foam Midsole

Within the midsole, Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails, whilst remaining as lightweight as possible, so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, securely holding the foot in place for smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. Also residing in the midsole is a Solarcore Aerogel insole, which provides underfoot superior warmth while being extremely flexible and ultra-thin. A PU footbed sits underneath the foot to ensure comfort over long distances. The insole provides additional cushioning so you can go further in complete comfort. Completing the midsole is a Cleansport NXT treatment, which prevents the growth of odour-causing bacteria, keeping the boots feeling and smelling fresher for longer.

Vibram Icetrek Outsole

Preparing you for long winter adventures, the boots utilise a Vibram Icetrek outsole. This has been designed to provide an improved level of grip when walking on cold, icy or snowy surfaces, giving you the grip you need throughout the changing winter weather. As well as this, the boots have Vibram traction lugs specifically designed for increased traction on a variety of surfaces you may encounter, and work to shed debris with each step.
