Matryx Upper

A super-strong upper made from multi-filament threads, the MTL SpeedArc Peak uses a tough, reliable Matryx material. Combining multi-filament threads of Kevlar and high-tenacity Polyamide to create a single layer of material, this Matryx upper is extremely durable and lightweight with outstanding breathability. This abrasive-resistant material prevents excessive wear and tear from bumps and bashes on the trail, keeping you focused on the journey ahead. Alongside a breathable mesh lining, the upper sits soft against your feet. It features strategic perforations to supply feet with a consistent level of cool, fresh air to keep you feeling comfortable on the move. At the same time, quick-drying properties prevent excessive build up of sweat or moisture from causing discomfort, ensuring a dry experience. The padded collar keeps feet well-contained, preventing excessive slipping or movement when tackling the trail ahead. Additionally, the flat-laying tongue sits soft against your foot, and works with the 100% recycled laces to get the perfect fit. An elastic lace keeper provides you with somewhere you can stash your laces discreetly. Finally, this colourway celebrates the 45th anniversary, with vivid hues that defined the '80s, Merrell's founding decade.

Merrell SpeedARC Midsole

For fast and nimble strides on technical terrain, the trail running shoes feature Merrell's SpeedARC Midsole System. Utilising a two-part, dual-density FloatPro and PEBA foam midsole, the foam supplies you with excellent energy return, underfoot flexibility and enhanced durability. Allowing you to enjoy every stride, the dual-layer midsole gives you a bouncy landing, absorbing impact for optimum energy return. Sandwiched between the two layers of foam is a Carbon FlexPlate that enhances propulsion to push you forward for fast strides. Adding an extra layer of plush cushioning, a TPEE footbed sits atop the soft foam for more shock-absorbing comfort.
