Knit Mesh Upper
The upper is constructed from a soft knit mesh for maximum comfort. The gusseted tongue seals out dirt and debris and is lightly padded to alleviate lace pressure and keep chafing at bay. Toe Protect technology helps protect feet from rocks, roots and debris you might encounter on the trail, whilst a traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot for a secure, comfortable fit.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
A Fresh Foam X midsole foam delivers New Balance's most cushioned Fresh Foam experience for incredible comfort; it is dual-density for plushness and stability. It attenuates shock as you strike down, protecting your joints from stress and strain. This energy is then converted into rebound to propel you into your next step, helping you run further, faster, using less energy. This means you get that flying feeling that allows you to traverse the great outdoors easily with speed. The combination of the above actions helps to improve your gait cycle. This is achieved through its unique foam structure with larger bubbles at the heel for impact absorption and smaller bubbles towards the forefoot for propulsion.
