And their go-to trail traction pattern works with a lightweight upper, allowing you to embrace tough terrain in confidence.

Engineered Mesh Upper

Trawl through tricky trails and tackle changing terrain in the Wildhorse 10, the latest iteration of an iconic Nike Trail running shoe features an engineered mesh upper. Keeping feet comfortable, fresh and ready to explore the wild, the lightweight uppers provide next-to-skin comfort, thanks to its minimal seam construction and flexible nature. Wrapping closely around your feet for protection, the mesh supports your foot over rocky paths, so you can focus on the next hurdle. Open holes in the materials provide feet with fresh, cool air to ensure you remain comfortable on long trail adventures, preventing overheating when things get intense. Moisture-wicking properties prevent a build-up of sweat and moisture to ensure dry feet, especially during difficult trail running endeavours. A soft, comfortable ankle collar helps keep you comfortable by preventing dirt, debris and trail materials from entering your shoes when running, while ensuring a comfortable secure fit. Further shielding you from bumps and bashes on the trails, the shoes feature an improved toe protection, for comfortable feet from start to finish. Reflective details enhance your visibility in low light conditions. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot, allowing you to venture across constantly changing terrain without worrying your feet will slip around in the shoes.

ReactX Midsole

Updated to their predecessors, the Wildhorse 10 features a ReactX midsole to provide you soft, responsive cushioning and excellent energy return with a lower carbon footprint. ReactX is 13% more responsive than previous React technology for optimum comfort across long distance adventures. Propelling you through each stride on trail running adventures, the energetic, responsive compound ensures feet feel fresh and comfortable. The soft, bouncy nature of the midsole keeps feet fresh across difficult periods and helps to reduce fatigue and improve performance. Shock absorbing properties reduce the risks of muscle stress or injury by absorbing the impact when striking down on to tough, rocky surfaces to keep you going for longer. Tthe compound has been engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles due to reduced manufacturing process compared to the recently used React. Nike has included a rock plate in the Wildhorse 10 to ensure additional protection to your foot on uneven and rocky terrain.

Nike Trail ATC Outsole

Constructed using an all-terrain compound, the Wildhorse 10 features a Nike Trail ATC outsole, making them the perfect trail companion. The robust outsole keeps you secure with an array of trail surfaces and terrains, including wet, soggy conditions to provide you with optimum stability on long trail adventures. Utilising a trail traction pattern and 4mm lugs, the shoes have optimised grip when traversing the more technical trail runs, keeping you confident and working to dig deep onto the ground below.
