Nike Victory 2 Running Spikes
The Victory 2 is tested and validated by the best middle-distance runners sprinting the planet. It sports every speed component you need to smash records, from a carbon fibre Flyplate to Air Zoom unit to a lightweight, responsive ZoomX midsole. AtomKnit on the upper and midfoot containment cables are combined with a supportive base that delivers improved shoe stability and control, especially around the turns.
AtomKnit Upper
With an updated version of the Flyknit, Nike have used the new AtomKnit material for a lightweight and contoured fit. The upper expertly hugs your feet for minimised distractions to keep you moving forwards with ease while also offering great breathability. The thin mesh has perforations throughout it, allowing air to effectively circulate around the foot, allowing heat to be released and in turn making room for cool fresh air as the distance stacks up, ideal for racing. Surrounding the midfoot, Nike have added midfoot cables to expertly stabilise you over uneven ground and ensure a snug fit. This is complimented by the traditional lacing system that locks the midfoot down for a secure and immovable fit, letting you run worry-free.
ZoomX Midsole
Nike ZoomX foam in the midsole is incredibly responsive and lightweight, giving you optimal energy return and impact absorption for your miles. Working alongside the ZoomX midsole is an Air Zoom unit at the forefoot to give you a light, responsive bounce when your foot connects to the track. The two cushioned chambers within the air unit add even more stability and propulsion. A new full-length carbon fibre Flyplate also resides in the midsole. The plate is lighter and more responsive than the previous version and adds durability while the shape of the Flyplate gives you a propulsive feel for a greater toe-off and helps keep you on your toes to minimise deceleration.
Four Spike Plate
Featuring a new outsole, the Victory 2 has gone from six spike pins in favour of four removable spike pins, made of stainless steel, to deliver optimal biting traction. Removing the two spikes and elevating the platform by the big toe helps you feel more stable on the straights and around the bends, so you can power through to the finish line. It also offers a wider base for greater stability. A sharkskin heel pad improves grip for multi-surface traction, without sacrificing weight; resisting the traumas of heel strike to supply you with a reliable, fast and long-lasting race buddy.
