Keeping adventures in the sun safe and fun, the Caped Merganzer is constructed from 100% recycled polyester stretch ripstop, which is super breathable to prevent overheating when things heat up. With a durable water-repellent finish, the fabrics repel light rain and moisture, and are designed without intentionally added PFAS for moisture-wicking comfort, whilst a 40+ UPF sun protection will shield you from the sun's harsh rays. Additionally, the lightweight, low-profile internal sweatband features MiDori bioSoft for moisture-wicking properties, with exceptional temperature management for the perfect microclimate and next-to-skin softness. This versatile hat has an elastic cord and cord lock at the back, and a brim rope chin strap for a secure, adjustable fit that stays on when you're in the water or the windy weather. It can also be worn multiple ways. For optimum sun coverage, wear it with the cape buttoned in front of your chin, button behind your neck for moderate coverage or for maximum airflow, tuck the cap into the adjustable back strap. Finally, the wider-than-average floating brim ensures even more sun protection and assists with airflow when worn with the cape buttoned down.
