Premium Engineered Knit Upper

The upper of the Velocity Nitro 4 has been crafted from a premium engineered knit that allows for a more breathable and adaptive fit. It swathes your foot in well-ventilated comfort, allowing built-up heat and vapour to escape whilst fresh air flows in for a pleasant cooling sensation. A GORE-TEX Invisible FIT has been integrated into the upper to provide breathable weather protection. GORE-TEX works by allowing small molecules out, such as heat and vapour, and blocking larger molecules from entering, such as water. This helps keep your feet dry from the outside and the inside, as sweat is eliminated. This breathable material also offers exceptional stretch to move better with you for a comfortable feel throughout your training and has been reinforced with PWRTAPE for added durability and an enhanced lockdown fit. A traditional lacing system allows you to adjust the fit, preventing in-shoe slippage for confident strides.

NITROFOAM Midsole

Updated from its predecessor, the Velocity Nitro 4 has a full-length NITROFOAM midsole to deliver lightweight cushioning and maximum energy return. This innovative foam technology is a lightweight, springy foam constructed from a nitrogen-infused Peba to provide high energy return and responsiveness. By infusing nitrogen into the foam, Puma has been able to expand their midsoles. By doing so, the shoes are extremely comfortable underfoot whilst also providing maximum propulsion with each stride, letting you run further and faster with ease. Not only will the foam help propel you forward, helping you to hit those PBs, but it also absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. As a result, it reduces stress on your joints and the risk of injury.

PUMAGRIP Outsole

Finishing the shoes, Puma have used their PUMAGRIP rubber compound in the outsole construction, which combines superior traction with durability. Strategically placed, the rubber forms a solid connection with a wide range of surfaces, even when wet or dry, giving you the confidence to run whatever the weather. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base to push off from, allowing for a more efficient gait cycle.
