Synthetic and Textile Upper

Engineered using synthetic and textile fabrics, the upper of the Thundercross enables cool air to circulate whilst enabling warm, uncomfortable air to escape to help regulate temperature so you remain comfy. The materials used are also exceptionally durable and provide optimal protection from rocks and uneven surfaces. Taking inspiration from the best of Salomon's trail-running fits, the Thundercross features Sensifit technology for a precise, optimal foothold, and reliable, cushy comfort. Sensifit employs welded overlays to wrap the foot in a firm, customised fit; they help anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. Completing the upper is a Quicklace System which provides a minimalistic and strong lace for a one-pull tightening ensuring you get the shoes on and off with minimal effort.

Energy Foam Midsole

Built on a springy and comfortable midsole compound that delivers punch and pop while smoothing out your landings, the Thundercross uses Energy Foam to provide responsive cushioning and comfort. Energy Foam is a lightweight, springy and resilient foam compound that powers your stride forward. This responsive foam delivers long-lasting cushion and bouncy energy return. The midsole provides excellent shock-absorbing properties to help protect the foot from shock and impact force. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection for all-day wear. Towards the bottom, the midsole is extremely firm, which will absorb impact instantly and effectively, preventing it from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step.

Contagrip Outsole

Tackle any run with supreme confidence knowing that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole of the Thundercross can form a solid grip on soft to rough terrains including muddy trails. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, which means long-term control is guaranteed. Aggressive, deep 5mm lugs provide excellent grip and traction on all kinds of technical terrain and surfaces.
