MATRYX Upper

Encasing feet with protection and comfort, and accompanying you on long trail runs, the S/LAB Pulsar 4 features a durable MATRYX mesh upper construction. This design is a super durable, high-performing fabric that is super lightweight, with abrasion-resistant, supportive properties. The upper uses individually coated Kevlar yarns to increase breathability by allowing perspiration vapour to escape, so that your feet stay dry and feel fresh for optimum comfort on future trail adventures. Ensuring a locked-in, contained fit, the uppers wrap comfortably around your foot to supply you with durability and security across rocky terrain and changing conditions. With a seamless design, the shoes prevent irritation or chafing from causing you discomfort. The S/LAB Pulsar 4's also feature Salomon's signature quickLACE closure, an abrasion-resistant lacing system that allows you to quickly and easily adjust the fit and feel of the shoes, to prevent in-shoe slipping during excessive movement. The homogeneous lacing system means you can simply tighten the shoes, and they tighten the same across the whole foot. Constructed using Salomon's super foam, the midsole features a layer of optiFOAM+, supplied under the whole foot for ultimate comfort and dynamism. This foam has been inspired by road racing technologies and provides feet with a dynamic, responsive experience, cushioning your landing, whilst expelling energy to propel you forward. This sits atop an optiFOAM compound to ensure stability when running technical sections, as well as adding extra levels of cushioning and comfort on trail journeys. The dual-foam midsole absorbs shock to prevent injury or discomfort on long races, whilst going high up the side of the foot to enhance stability, keeping your foot in place on rocky terrain. All-Terrain contaGRIP Outsole

For confident strides and enhanced stability across a variety of trail terrains and conditions, the S/LAB Pulsar 4 features a super durable contaGRIP outsole. It is a super durable, abrasive-resistant compound that stands up against wear and tear and takes on the more treacherous challenges the race throws at you. When traversing an array of conditions, the rubber stands up against wet and muddy surfaces. The outsole has a bigger contact surface area, compared to the previous area, meaning an increased number of lugs that dig deep into soggy terrain and shed mud quickly, therefore improving grip. Filtering rocks and sharp surfaces from ruining your trail run, the shoes feature a ProfeelFILM, a flexible TPU film, providing you with more comfortable, distraction-free strides across uncomfortable surfaces.
