Scarpa Rush 2 Pro GORE-TEX Men's Walking Shoes
Rush 2 PRO GORE-TEX is the Nubuck version of the Rush 2 family. This hiking shoe is a hybrid of stability and foot support, with a structure superior to a trail running shoe but more agility than most hiking shoes.
GORE-TEX Upper
Constructed from Nubuck Leather, the upper of the Rush Pro 2 Walking Shoes supplies feet with protection and comfort. The boots' GORE-TEX lining protects feet in wet weather conditions. The membrane prevents moisture from entering the shoes whilst allowing built-up heat and vapour to escape, keeping feet dry inside and out. The Nubuck leather is strong, providing a long-lasting, reliable pair of shoes. A SockFit construction of the upper will mould to your foot shape to keep you feeling comfortable at all times, and a soft padded tongue removes the risk of irritation to the ankle, while acting as a debris guard. The shoes' rigid TPU heel structure provides support, keeping the heel in the correct position and reducing in-shoe movement. Finally, the shoe's light cord loops system evenly spreads the pressure, easily securing the upper and avoiding pressure points.
EVA Midsole
A dual-density compression moulded EVA platform resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, absorbing shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as rebound, adding spring to your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for unpredictable trails and tough terrain.
Presa Outsole
The PRESA sole is made with a high-grip and durable compound, pronounced heel and hiking-oriented lugs, which promote braking on descents and grip on climbs. This will keep you under control when taking on technical paths and trails. The rubber is abrasion-resistant, retaining its shape and definition despite being tested on hard and rough surfaces. In addition, the IKS (Interactive Kinetic System) technology has 7 cushioning areas (domes): 6 on the forefoot and 1 on the heel. The 7 domes offer great cushioning and progressive support of body weight. Progressively and specifically supporting the weight of your body during activity in the mountains.
