Armagh International Road Race 2026
Every February hundreds of runners descend on a small city in Northern Ireland to take part in one of the fastest and most competitive road races in the world. The Armagh International Road Race, organised by Armagh Athletic Club, takes place in mid-February on The Mall in Armagh City. The night includes two elite races - the elite men race over 5k and elite women race over 3k. In the past the race has attracted some of the best runners in the sport, such as Jake Wightman, Laura Weightman and Alex Bell.

The 34th edition of the race was no different, with the same display of blistering times and world-class depth that Armagh is known for. It was a night for Northern Ireland to shine, with both men’s and women’s elite winners sporting the Northern Ireland and Ulster vest.

Local boy, Nick Griggs, won the men’s race in a time of 13:37, making him the first Irish winner in 32 years. He was followed home by Matthew Ramsden (13:39) then Callum Morgan (13:39). In total 23 runners broke 14 minutes for 5k and 129 ran sub 15 minutes.
