HOKA x SportsShoes Podium Classic 2026: Race recap
SportsShoes Podium returned to Leicester for Podium Classic 5k on 14th March 2026, in collaboration with HOKA, for the launch of the Cielo X1 3.0. Known for rapid times, the race attracted some of the fastest athletes from across the UK and Europe, including two-time Olympian Narve Nordas. Despite less than favourable weather conditions with the wind, the event delivered on times, including 17 men sub 14:00 and 15 women sub 16:30.
In the Elite Women’s race, Belgian middle-distance runner and HOKA athlete Elise Vanderelst, ran away from the field in the early stages of the race to take the win in 15:40. She will be one to watch over the summer, with the Belgian record in her sights in better conditions. Charlotte Dannatt finished in second place in 15:51 and Molly Hudson was third in 15:56.
The men’s race came down to a tantalising sprint finish. Blackburn Harrier Matthew Ramsden dipped Narve Nordas on the line to win, in a PB of 13:33. Narve Nordas finished in 13:34 and Jamie Crowe finished third in 13:36.
