When you've got confidence and durability underfoot, no terrain is off-limits in the Timp 6. So hit the trail hard with an outsole redesigned to be even stickier and a soft, rolled mesh upper. This redesigned Vibram Megagrip outsole is made to give you traction on any terrain, while a premium upper combines with precisely updated fit construction to help deliver an elevated step-in feel, durability, and comfort.
Constructed with a soft, rolled mesh upper, the Timp 6 delivers a snug fit alongside maximum breathability. The mesh offers a sleek ride, moving and flexing with you wherever your run takes you. This construction ensures cool air can permeate the fabric, removing uncomfortable heat and creating a healthy environment for your feet. The Timp 6 is designed to handle challenging terrain, allowing you to float over rocks, roots, and debris with ease. Updated overlays protect the toes from uneven surfaces while ensuring a comfortable flex. Key to the design is Altra's FootShape fit, which encourages the toes to relax and spread naturally, allowing the big toe to remain straight. The Standard FootShape toe box enhances stability during uphill climbs and downhill descents and aids in creating powerful toe-offs to maximise performance. Completing the upper is a soft, padded tongue and a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot for a secure fit that lasts over extremely long periods.
The Timp 6 offers durable and responsive cushioning in a lightweight design, thanks to the Altra Ego MAX midsole. This midsole technology ensures agility without sacrificing comfort. Additionally, the fully balanced cushioning positions your forefoot and heel at an equal distance from the ground, promoting a natural foot position and a low-impact landing. This Balanced Cushioning technology helps protect joints and reduce fatigue.
Completing the Timp 6 is a newly designed Vibram MegaGrip outsole, engineered to ensure superior traction and grip across varied terrain. This high-performance rubber compound provides exceptional grip on both wet and dry surfaces, offering rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The rubber forms a strong bond with the surface beneath, ensuring excellent traction and control as you explore. To keep the shoe lightweight, zonal rubber placement focuses traction where it is needed most, allowing for easier movement through tough terrain. Furthermore, the outsole is completed with multi-directional lugs. These lugs provide flexible and sticky multi-directional traction, enhancing support and stability as you navigate challenging ascents and descents. The Altra Timp 6 is built to support any outdoor adventure with complete confidence.
