ASICS Glideride Max 2 Women's Running Shoes

The Glideride Max 2 offers a smooth and balanced ride, so you can effortlessly glide through your runs. The engineered woven upper helps keep the shoe breathable. FF BLAST MAX foam is positioned in the top layer of the midsole, promoting cloud-like landings and a responsive toe-off.

Engineered Woven Upper

Keep your feet cool and comfortable thanks to the engineered woven upper. With strategically placed micro-perforations, good airflow is ensured to keep you feeling fresh throughout. The double-layered upper provides excellent structure and durability for high confidence. ASICS have included a heel pull tab on the back of the upper for easy slip-on assistance to get you up and out as quickly as possible. A flat-laying tongue has been added to ensure minimal irritation and to prevent in-shoe slippage while on the move for a distraction-free run. This works in collaboration with the traditional lacing system to lock down the midfoot for a snug fit.

FF BLAST PLUS and MAX Midsole

Featuring FF BLAST PLUS foam, which is a softer and lighter evolution of its predecessor, the lower layer maintains high responsiveness but introduces more smoothness and fatigue resistance for longer runs. While the FF BLAST MAX layer sits above this, it is one of ASICS' most energetic midsoles, complemented with a cloud-like softness and a responsive energy return in each step. By absorbing shock as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces, the MAX foam in turn releases building pressure as you step into your next stride, providing highly propulsive energy return. Embedded between the two layers sits a hard-press EVA plate, assisting in delivering sharper toe-offs with less effort, keeping your focus on what is ahead and not what is beneath your feet. This is further improved by Asics GUIDESOLE technology to lessen fatigue, due to the curved sole design and stiff forefoot, ankle flexion is reduced, meaning other leg muscles work less. An EVA sockliner sits on top of the midsole for added cushioning and support during performance.

HYBRID ASICSGRIP Outsole

Combining ASICSGRIP rubber and AHARPLUS materials, the Glideride Max 2 has advanced grip for various terrains and durability. Focusing the rubber specifically in areas of high traction while removing it from the centre of the foot keeps a good grip covered while reducing the overall weight of the shoe. As well as this, it can create a strong bond with any ground beneath it, helping you stay in full control. This is combined with ASICSGRIP. The world-beating ASICSGRIP technology uses a combination of rubber and specially engineered outsole patterns to provide the perfect grip on any surface.
