Deuter Guide 34+6 Backpack

With full-spec alpine features and made from tough materials, this backpack has everything an alpinist needs.

Crafted from an abrasion-resistant ripstop material, the Guide 34+6 backpack from Deuter offers highly durable wear and tear against rough mountain faces wherever you may be. Featuring an Alpine back system, specifically designed for alpine environments, technical climbing, and mountaineering, you can stay safe and supported in tricky environments. Featuring an ergonomic and removeable backplate paired with a flexi spring steel frame, the back system helps maximise load control, stability, and safety over challenging terrain. The backpack delivers carrying comfort and a perfect fit through the padded, ergonomically cut, ActiveFit shoulder straps with an easily adjustable stabiliser strap to help reduce pack movement. To stabilise wear, a pull-forward adjustable sternum strap has been added, featuring a one-hand use buckle to keep you focused on the task at hand, while a waist belt with VariFlex hip fins provides ergonomic padded cushioning. The hip fins feature a zip pocket to hold small valuables along with hooks and ice clipper slots.

The backpack features a top-loading construct, closed securely with a drawcord and then followed by a lid with the option to extend capacity if needed. The lid is fully detachable when shedding weight and can be adjusted in height with an external pocket for storing items separate from the main compartment. The main compartment holds the bulk of your gear which is easily accessed thanks to the j-shaped zipper and has an internal wet pocket for stuffing wet and sweaty clothes inside of it or for holding a hydration system up to 3L (not included). When fully packed, use the compression straps to centralise the weight on your back. With multi-sport use, attach your skis securely to the side of the pack. A key clip helps keep your keys separate and easy to find, while a rope strap enables you to store your climbing rope. Ice axe and pole attachment points on one side offer easy and convenient transporting options, and a glasses stow system helps keep your glasses safe. An SOS label has also been included, should you need it in an emergency, and a safety whistle helps alert others to your location.
