Hoka Tecton X 4 Women's Trail Running Shoes

Crafted to lead the pack at the world's pinnacle trail races, the Tecton X 4 is freshly finessed with PROFLY X series technologies for speed on gnarly terrain. Parallel carbon plates are adjusted to increase pop in the gait cycle, and a new Matryx Micro textile upper enhances breathability during all-out efforts.

Matryx Micro Upper

Constructed using Matryx Micro, the upper of the Hoka Tecton X 4 is highly durable while remaining breathable, keeping feet cool and protected as you put in the work. The perforations in the upper encourage cool air to circulate, removing built-up heat. The new upper allows this even in wet conditions so you remain comfortable even in damper climates. Matryx uses Kevlar fibres to increase durability, protecting your feet and the shoes from knocks, scrapes and trail debris, for a shoe built to last. The shoes feature a gaiter-like extended knit collar with a front pull tab that prevents trail debris from entering the shoe so you can stay focused on the trail ahead. A protective toe rand provides optimal protection from rocks and trail debris, while the dynamic vamp allows the foot to splay naturally. The shoes use a protective foam tongue pod that increases comfort, while the Ghillie lacing system locks down the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement for a locked-in feel.

Profly X Midsole

For a cushioned and responsive ride, Hoka has used their Profly X Midsole technology on the Tecton X 4, utilising a dual-layer PEBA foam midsole. Profly midsole technology adapts to your stride, providing the perfect balance of support and flexibility. The dual-layer midsole helps reduce injuries by absorbing shock each time you strike the hard, unforgiving ground beneath. The energy taken from this is then transferred as a rebound, adding an extra spring to your next step. Within the midsole, the parallel carbon fibre plate construction helps deliver a smoother transition while minimising energy loss. This, in turn, creates a more efficient run, making running feel effortless and fast so you can reach new PBs. Hoka's speed-focused MetaRocker remains in place, creating a rocking-chair effect that encourages a guided gait whilst helping to increase your speed.

A Vibram Megagrip with Litebase construction outsole completes the Tecton X 4, ensuring traction and grip on varied terrain. This high-performance rubber compound provides unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. Forming a solid bond with the ground beneath it ensures complete control as you explore unbeaten paths. Zonal rubber placement ensures traction and grip where you need it most while remaining lightweight so you can cut through tough terrain easily. Hoka has included 4mm Traction Lugs, providing flexible, sticky multi-directional traction as you tackle awkward ascents and daring descents. The lugs ensure support and stability, giving you confidence and peace of mind that the shoes will support you on any adventure.
