Inov8 Shoe Fit Scale
For technical footwear, a good fit is essential to enhance your performance. Inov8's new Shoe Fit Scale makes it easier to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold, where they differ is in the toe box. The shoes are now graded from 1 to 5, Grade 1 representing their closest, most precise fit and Grade 5 representing the widest fitting toe box.
The lower the number on the scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on the scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It's also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell.
Inov8 have graded the Parkclaw 240 Trail Running Shoe as Grade 5.
Breathable Knit Upper
The knit upper of the Parkclaw 240 envelops the foot in breathable comfort. Offering the most natural, lightweight fit, the knit upper wraps around the foot for maximum comfort whilst providing superior breathability, eradicating uncomfortable heat build up for a healthy environment that your foot can thrive in. Antimicrobial, the knit fabric reduces unwanted odours to keep you feeling fresher for longer no matter how hard you push yourself. Engineered with X-Protec the upper delivers ultimate protection and durability against testing terrains; a reinforced hybrid tongue locks out dirt and debris from entering the shoe to ensure a comfortable, distraction-free ride. Supporting the heel, an external heel cage wraps around the rear of the shoe to provide additional support aiding the foot's stability and encouraging a better gait in fatigued runners. Supporting the midfoot and securing lockdown the Roadclaw 240 utilises Met Cradle design. The upper webbing support on the shoe is anatomically positioned to cradle the forefoot behind the metatarsal heads and provide a secure foothold. Giving you greater stability and control whilst traversing the evolving environment underfoot.
PowerFlow+ Midsole
The midsole for the Inov8 Parkclaw 240 is set with a PowerFlow+ compound for resilient cushioning with maximum memory retention. The active compound reduces resistance and forces pressed upon the underfoot, engaging a smooth stride through transition and over uneven grounds and delivers increased shock absorption and energy return. Offering a cushioned ride, the powerflow+ midsole provides 10% better shock absorption and 25% better energy return than standard midsoles allowing you to run harder for longer. Additionally, a DFB shank delivers a kick of energy with each step helping you to move faster and more efficiently.
Tri-C Rubber Outsole
Featuring Inov8's Tri-C rubber compound and multi-directional claw-shaped outsole provides an unrivalled grip over unpredictable terrain and the quick release of debris. Every ounce of energy generated by the body is transferred to the road through the outsole, with the Tri-C outsole delivering traction throughout the gait cycle. The sticky fusion compound is a mix of synthetic rubber and EVA foam for a smooth ride and grip on an array of surfaces whilst the meta-flex groove is located at the forefoot to encourage natural forefoot flex during the toe-off phase of the gait cycle.
